The Oregon State Fair Foundation
Mission Statement:
The Foundation works with businesses, industries, government agencies and individuals to promote, develop and expand the activities and programs of the Oregon State Fair and Exposition Center.
The Oregon State Fair Foundation (OSFF) was established in 1999. In the fall of 2006, the Foundation approved the plan for a Youth Village on the State Fair Grounds, as the State Fair is required by Oregon law and to provide housing for the 4-H and FFA youth each year during the fair. The concept of 25 “cabins” located on the State Fair Grounds was developed and continues to be the focus of OSFF. The first cabin arrived in June of 2011. Each “cabin” sleeps 8 youth, is self-contained and has a small kitchen. Both 4-H and FFA have enthusiastically given endorsements to the project. It is OSFF’s goal to raise funds, through grants and donations, to complete the Youth Village by fair 2013.
